Wild Deer Events Heads To Callendar Park For Falkirk Trail Runs
Summer trails arrive in Falkirk...
The Falkirk Wild Summer Trail Runs will take place at Callendar House in Falkirk on 18 July 2026, bringing Wild Deer Events to the historic Callendar Park estate for the first time. The summer trail event includes 5K, 10K and Half Marathon options, giving runners a choice of distances through one of Central Scotland’s most scenic parkland settings.
Callendar House sits at the heart of Callendar Park, surrounded by woodland trails, open space and historic estate grounds. Organisers say the routes will use the surrounding parkland and flowing trails, with final route details still to be confirmed ahead of race day.
The event has been designed to suit a wide mix of runners, with the 5K aimed at those newer to trail running, the 10K offering a natural step up and the Half Marathon providing a bigger summer challenge. Live chip timing will be in place, and all finishers will receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a snack and a drink.
Canicross runners are also welcome, with one controlled dog allowed per runner. That adds another friendly element to the race day atmosphere and fits neatly with the relaxed trail running feel that Wild Deer Events has built across its Scottish programme.
For runners, the appeal is the chance to race through a historic Falkirk setting without needing to travel deep into the hills for a trail experience. The mix of woodland, parkland and estate paths should make the event accessible while still offering enough variety to keep the route interesting.
Entries are open now, with start times expected from around 9:30am and further race day details to follow from organisers closer to the event.
Entries are available via Eventrac here.
