The Wetherby 10K returns on Sunday 6 September 2026, inviting runners to experience what organisers proudly describe as "a cracking little Yorkshire run". Organised by Wetherby Runners AC, the popular event combines a flat multi terrain course with a warm community atmosphere, making it equally appealing to first time 10K runners and experienced competitors.
Starting and finishing at Wetherby Racecourse, the accurately measured single lap course offers excellent personal best potential while taking runners along a varied route supported by enthusiastic marshals and professional chip timing from RaceBest. With no cut off time and an official tail runner, every participant is welcomed and encouraged to finish at their own pace.
The event is about far more than the race itself. Leeds Hospitals Charity is the 2026 charity partner, with proceeds helping to fund life changing equipment, research and patient care across Yorkshire. Runners are also automatically entered into a prize draw featuring luxury experiences at Rudding Park, adding an extra incentive to race day.
Families are firmly at the heart of the event. The popular Mini Marathon takes place later in the day, giving runners of all ages the chance to get involved, while Wetherby Racecourse provides free parking, refreshments, a charity cake stall and plenty of space for supporters to enjoy the occasion.
Every finisher receives a commemorative oversized mug, a tradition that has become a distinctive feature of the event. With entries still available and hundreds of places remaining, runners looking for a friendly, inclusive and professionally organised late summer 10K should secure their place while they can.
Entries are available via RaceBest here.
