Celebrate 20 Years In Wetherby
Take a shot at this 'Cracking Little Yorkshire Run'...
One of Yorkshire’s flattest road races, the Wetherby 10K, is set to make a triumphant return in 2025 as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Taking place 14 September, this friendly, club-organised event has built a stellar reputation for being a fast, scenic and well-supported race, attracting runners from across the region and beyond.
Organised by Wetherby Runners AC, the race is known for its warm community atmosphere, excellent race-day experience, and high standards, having been Gold-Graded by the British Association of Road Races (BARR) and winning the Bill Reynolds Memorial Trophy in 2014.
The Wetherby 10K is a fast, practically flat course, making it an ideal race for PBs. It’s also perfectly timed for those preparing for the Yorkshire Marathon in October, serving as a tapering run ahead of the big day. With enthusiastic marshals, fantastic local support, and a stunning route, it’s no wonder runners return year after year.
The Wetherby Mini-Marathon (1.6 miles, open to all ages) offers a fantastic opportunity for young runners to get involved. Families can relax and enjoy refreshments, with hot and cold drinks, an ice cream van and plenty of picnic space in the beautiful surroundings of Wetherby Racecourse.
Whether you’re a seasoned club runner looking for a PB or a casual runner wanting a fun and friendly event, the Wetherby 10K promises an unforgettable race day experience.
