Facing a tough climb at the Baggeridge 10K and 5K Trail Run

Scale the heights again at Baggeridge

Stair climbing part of the fun at this inclusive event.

A near vertical set of steps is waiting for runners at the Baggeridge 10K and 5K Trail Run (Sunday 3 October), one of three events organised by Kickass Endurance. Jacob’s Ladder is one of several features on a picturesque route in Baggeridge Country Park where teeth will be gritted and spines stiffened in anticipation.

Baggeridge Country Park is a Green Flag award-winner and popular beauty spot that lies on the borders of Staffordshire and the West Midlands. The ’stairway to heaven’ is a test of stamina and fitness as runners haul themselves up and onto the path before catching their breath, ready to continue along the undulating, multi-terrain course.

There's a choice of 5K or 10K, both of which start at 9.30am in the grounds of this Country Park. Note: runners are reminded to collect their bib numbers on the day from Registration at least 30 minutes before the start of the race.

They complete one lap for the 5K or two for the 10K, winding their way over and around, putting their hill training to good use as they tackle a couple of inclines and Jacob’s Ladder. Marshals will keep people on the right track and motivated to the finish where a bottle of water and medal is the reward for everyone’s achievements.

There is still time to be part of a tough yet rewarding race with a friendly atmosphere.
