Two New Trail Races Coming Soon...

If you fancy a trail race this spring, we bring you news of two new events in March...

Here at runABC we love to bring you details of brand new races on the Midlands' running calendar. So we were delighted when we spotted two events from Race Harborough - 10K and Half Marathon distances set within the glorious trails and tracks surrounding Pitsford Water.

Organisers say: "If it's one of your goals to take on a trail race in 2024, then check out our Pitsford Water Trail Races running out from Brixworth Country Park on 3 March."

Both routes leave Brixworth Country Park, heading across the dam towards Pitsford, then pick up the trails above Pitsford Water towards the village of Holcot. The half marathon route also visits the beautiful local villages of Holcot, Hannington, Walgrave, Old, and Scaldwell.

The 10K race provides the perfect introduction to trail running whilst the half marathon provides a decent challenge for those looking to go further or build their experience out on the trails. The routes enjoy the best of the Northamptonshire countryside as well as having some fantastic views.

As with all Race Harborough events, there will be professional first aid on hand at the start and finish with the ability to access runners on the course. Race Harborough volunteers will also be on-course to provide hydration at three water stations on the half marathon route and one water station on the 10K route.

Organisers have some advice for your supporters: "The best place for your friends and families to support you is alongside the tracks at Pitsford Water. Whilst the half marathon route does run through a number of local villages, these villages are small and have very little parking so we would ask that any support is limited to the tracks alongside Pitsford Water in order to maintain the support of the event from the local villages."
