Conquer the Continents: Asia Medal

Asia virtual run full of Eastern promise

Only 100 limited edition medals for this fifth event in the virtual run series

Asia is the fifth stop on the Conquer the Continents series of virtual runs organised by Mash Running and there is a limited edition medal featuring the Land of the Rising Sun. It is time to pack the bags and head east to complete 5 miles and receive this unique memento.

The largest continent out of the seven that contains 48 countries including India, China, Saudi Arabia and Israel to name but a few that make up this diverse area. Whilst the opportunities for visiting this continent are slim as a result of the pandemic, there is a virtual way of doing so in this latest event and best of all, there is no need to quarantine afterwards.

Participants have the option to run/walk/swim or cycle 5 miles in one go or split it up into smaller distances on a day and time to suit them. The pace and place is of their own choosing - laps around the garden are fine as is a home treadmill - but they must submit evidence of their session as proof of completion. Garmin or Strava data or a screenshot from a Fitbit, GPS watch or treadmill display is acceptable and selfies are encouraged!  It is important to continue to stay safe and social distancing must be adhered to.

5 miles is the minumum distance but there is no upper bar so expect lots of entrants to clock extra miles as they envisage the sights and sounds of the East.

A large medal for a large continent and a place in the virtual events gallery awaits those who take part. Register for Asia at the Mash Running website.
