Bromsgrove’s iconic Timberhonger 10K is back in 2025 celebrating its 20th anniversary with a fresh start under new organisers. After a brief hiatus, the much-loved race will return on 31 August offering runners another chance to tackle its picturesque yet challenging course - including the infamous Timberhonger Lane hill!

The race, which starts at 9.30am from Whitford Road, takes participants along Timberhonger Lane before looping around Berry Lane and Newhouse Lane twice then finishing with a run through Sanders Park.

Known for its friendly atmosphere and stunning scenery, the Timberhonger 10K has been a firm favourite among both first-time runners and experienced competitors. The event has long been linked with Bromsgrove Carnival, but for its 20th edition, Lindsey and Dave from Orbit Events have taken over from long-time organiser Mark, bringing fresh energy to the race.

The new organisers say: "While the date has changed to improve its standing on the running calendar, the heart of the Timberhonger 10K remains the same - a challenging yet rewarding race with a strong community spirit."

In keeping with its Carnival connection, organisers will also introduce a new Family Fun Run in July, ensuring the event’s legacy continues.
