Sign Up For This Sell Out
This 10K race in Gloucestershire finishes by the pub, need any more convincing it's a good idea?
The Thornbury Running Club Race Series provides runners with three races spread between January and September. The second race in the series is the Thornbury 10K which takes place in early summer and is this year scheduled for 27 June.
This 10K takes place on the rolling country lanes around Oldbury with wonderful views, starting a short walk from Oldbury Sailing club and finishing at the Anchor pub! Organisers say: "What's not to like? This event sold out in 2023 - sign up now to avoid disappointment."
You can expect competitive runners with their ‘game face’ on, racing hard for individual and club pride and hoping to be in the prizes. There will also be those new to the sport taking part in their first race or dipping their toes into the 10K water.
This year those taking part will once again have their efforts recognised with a wooden medal. If you take part in all three Thornbury Running Club Race Series 2024 events (Riverbank Rollick, Thornbury 10K and the Oldbury 10 mile) the medals will create a larger, very impressive medal.
In 2023 there were close to 400 entrants taking part in the Thornbury 10K with Oliver Beale claiming first place in a time of 33:51 while Jessica Heffer took the glory in the women's race with a time of 39:56.
