The Winchester Half Marathon is organised by Challenging Events and takes place from the Guildhall in Winchester city centre. Alongside the Half Marathon, the event also includes a 1K Kids Fun Run, bringing runners of all ages together for one of Hampshire's best known road races.
The closed road Half Marathon follows a scenic and undulating route through the historic city and surrounding countryside. Runners pass landmarks including Winchester Cathedral, King Alfred the Great statue and St Catherine's Hill before returning to the city centre for the finish outside the Guildhall.
Professional chip timing, marshals, road closures and well organised race day support help deliver a high quality event. The welcoming atmosphere, enthusiastic local support and memorable city centre finish have established the Winchester Half Marathon as a popular fixture on the autumn running calendar.
