Finishline Scrumpy 2022

Scrumpy Scurry to serve up a full bodied run

Sample a cider each time you complete a lap of the orchard.

Raise a glass to a race which is perfect for a summer’s day: the Scrumpy Scurry is held on Saturday 9 July at 11.30am allowing people enough time to do parkrun beforehand. Then enjoy a cider or three whilst running another 5K around an apple orchard before relaxing in the sun.

One of six races from Finish Line Events, the Scrumpy Scurry promises a tangy experience with 3 laps and 3 ciders and all in the beautiful surroundings of Westons Mortimer’s Orchard, Herefordshire. This will be even better if the weather is hot and dry.

Instead of wine, women and song it will be cider, runners and finishing times as thirsty participants make their way on an off-road course, lapping up the scenery and the atmosphere whilst rehydrating with cider. There will be a variety of these to try after each lap.

Registration is at 10am followed by the race at 11.30am so why not start with a parkrun then head over to Westons Cider Mill and take in the sights as well as the alcohol. Push the pace or take it steady, drink cider then replace the calories in the cafe.

There is free parking, the race is chip timed and finishers receive a Finish Line Events cider and a bottle opener. As a bonus, Westons offer every runner 10% discount on any purchases in the shop.

Entrants must be 18 or over to take part.

Don’t leave it until last orders to enter. Sign up at the Finish Line Events website now.
