Werrington 10K is an annual road race organised by Trentham Running Club and sponsored by Sub 4, taking runners onto the country lanes surrounding Werrington.
Starting from Moorside High School, the 10K combines a rural setting with a friendly club race atmosphere and forms part of the North Staffs Road Runners Association calendar. The race is chip timed, with prizes for leading male and female runners, age categories and teams, as well as a special prize for breaking the course record.
Trentham Running Club places an emphasis on reducing the environmental impact of the event, using paper cups rather than plastic water bottles and encouraging runners to bring refillable bottles and share transport. Entrants can also choose whether to include a race medal with their entry.
A separate approximately 1K Fun Run takes place within the school grounds and is also chip timed, with every finisher receiving a medal.
