Run With The Wind 10K is an officially measured road race organised by Strathaven Striders. Starting near Kirkland Park School, the out and back route heads north of Strathaven into the surrounding farming countryside before returning towards the town.
The course follows quiet rural roads through rolling countryside, with an undulating profile adding variety throughout the 10K. The distance has been officially measured and verified, and the event is held under UK Athletics rules as a Scottish Athletics licensed race.
Runners benefit from chip timing, with results published online after the race, while marshals and pipers help guide competitors from race headquarters to the start.
