Stody Estate Trail Run

Stody's Successful Return

This relaunched trail event now provides runners with three distances to choose from...

North Norfolk's Stody Estate Trail Run had a relaunch in 2024, when it changed its name from the Hunny Bell Cross Country and underwent improvements that were heralded a success by new and experienced runners alike. The race has been billed as 'the perfect introduction to cross country' with a course that covers the picturesque Stody Estate.

2025's edition will take place on 2 March and will again see runners swap the roads for something a little more interesting. Organisers say: "Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun challenge, these scenic trails will take you through woodlands and fieldswith a couple of challenging inclines along the way making it an experience you won't forget!"

Those taking part can choose from three distances, each showcasing the beauty of the estate and surrounding countryside. The 4K route is an ideal first step into a trail run while the extended 12K run will provide an extra challenge. For all the Hunny Bell Cross Country veterans, the enduring 8K route is still available for your enjoyment.

Along with chip timing, exclusive eco-friendly medals and water stations, runners will enjoy free event parking and access to photos from the day. After the race, relax at the refreshment zone at Hunworth Village Hall, where there will be bacon rolls, snacks, cakes and hot drinks waiting!

All funds raised go to Break, a charity that supports young people in care, helping them build brighter futures. The support they receive helps them feel safe, cared for, and ready to face whatever life throws at them. Every step you take in this trail run helps provide these young people with the support they need for as long as they need it.
