Spring Yard Five Has Much To Offer

Head to Lancashire for a scenic run with a brewery finish...

Runners looking for a fun, social race with a twist won’t want to miss the Spring Farm Yard Five on Thursday, 24 April. Hosted by Preston, Fylde & Wyre Running, this five-mile countryside run offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and a unique incentive—a beer aid station mid-race and a pint of locally brewed beer at the finish!

Starting and finishing at Farm Yard Brew Co. in Lancaster, runners will enjoy a scenic route along Gulf Lane, taking in views of open countryside and the Trough of Bowland hills. Whether you’re racing for a PB or simply out for a fun evening run, this event is perfect for all abilities.

Organisers comment: "This is the second year of the Spring Farm Yard Five, and it’s quickly becoming a Lancashire running favorite. The brewery’s taproom will be open from 5pm, welcoming runners and spectators alike. Plus there will be a pizza van on-site, serving up fresh, delicious food to keep energy levels high."

Unlike traditional races, there are no finisher medals, but runners will receive a voucher for a free pint at the finish line - a fitting way to celebrate a great evening of running and socialising. It is also worth noting that there will be a prize draw, with all entrants entered to win six cans of beer!
