Run Rabbit Trail Festival All Set To Hop To It
Participants will hare off over a choice of distances at this trail extravaganza.
Entries have opened for the Run Rabbit Trail Festival on Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 July at Marston Lodge near Market Harborough. Three challenges, scenic trails, live music, hot food, free camping....all in the company of fellow off-road enthusiasts.
Runners of all abilities take to the trails for two days of events and entertainment. Organised by Race Harborough, the Run Rabbit Trails Festival has someone to suit everyone and all in a stunning location.
The events are:
Trail Mix Challenge – run 5K on the hour every hour for 5 hours and achieve 25K in total. Strategy is important for this one.
Headlight Hop 10K - step up in distance and try some early evening running on a course which has 537ft of elevation. It starts at 6.30pm on the Saturday.
Thump Trail Half Marathon – start Sunday with this hilly half at 9am in a woodland and farmland route that looks stunning in the sunlight. You’ll need your climbing legs for this one.
Anyone feeling brave can enter all three or the Quest for the Golden Carrot. They have to complete 56.1K (34 miles) in 24 hours. The top 6 men and women qualify for the ‘Carrot Dash’ where they go flat out for 1 mile to win a special ‘Golden Carrot’ trophy.
Marston Lodge is a family farm which extends over 700 acres in the Welland Valley and is passionate about the landscape with the aim of preserving it for future generations. They host leisure events such as the Run Rabbit Trail Festival which complement the environment as well as bringing people together.
