West 4 Harriers at London 10K 2023

Shoe Change For London 10K

Saucony takes over as the headline sponsor of London 10K 2024...

Readers will be familiar with the past success of the ASICS London 10K, with a record 17,500 entries and 13,368 finishers on Sunday 9 July 2023. Now the race has changed its footwear sponsor and is putting its best foot forward as the Saucony London 10K on Sunday 14 July 2024.

runABC South has been informed that all the general entries for this year's race, held in aid of Cancer Research UK, are sold out but two options remain for anyone keen to experience the scenic course from Green Park to Whitehall via Westminster Bridge, London Eye, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square.

A few charity places are still available and you could still be part of the action next month if you sign up for Cancer Research UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Alzheimer's Society, or the Special Effect charity teams – full details are at the official race website here

The alternative is to plan for 2025 and register your interest for next year's race so you'll be one of the first to hear when entries open – you can leave your contact details here

LimeLight Sports Club – organisers of Hackney Moves Festival, Oxford Half Marathon, and many major cycling, duathlon, and triathlon events – manage the event and more than half a million pounds have been raised for charities.

The course is flat and fast, as illustrated by last year's winning times by Jonathan Collier (Harrow AC, 30:17) and Slovakian international Zofia Nanova (34:23). More than 550 athletes finished inside the 40-minute barrier, including 36 women, and the final finishers were fully supported on the course for more than two hours. The event records are held by Hallamshire Harriers' Andrew Heyes (29:02 in 2022) and Natasha Cockram of the Micky Morris Racing Team (33:37 in 2021).

The start is at 9:30am and the bag drop and help desk are open from 7:45am. Due to the scale of the event the start will be in waves and competitors are advised to arrive early.

Results and previous race reports are available via the runABC South race listing here.
