Run Mummy Run and ASICS are 'clubbing' together
Huge women's running community launches new club with ASICS
Run Mummy Run Community Run Club (RMR CRC) has just been launched, with support from top running brand ASICS, with more than 1,000 runners signing up to make this one of the top women’s online running clubs from the outset.
Run Mummy Run already boasts over 180,000 members across all channels and is growing month on month. Basic membership is free, but many members wish to progress to enhanced club status with England Athletics affiliation, so they can compete for the club in mainstream events.
Now there are even more opportunities and choices, with the announcement of RMR CRC and ASICS’ first official run club vest globally, representing a huge celebration of women’s running.
Run Mummy Run was established in 2012 and is the leading online community of its kind for women connected through running. RMR brings women runners together to support and motivate each other, whilst actively promoting kindness, friendship, love, support, equality, and unity as core values.
RMR CRC, in association with ASICS, gives women of all levels the opportunity to join a more traditional-style run club wherever they are based and enjoy many of the benefits gained from being part of a run club, with the flexibility of training fitting around family, home and work life and lots of additional online benefits.
Leanne Davies, Founder of Run Mummy Run, said: “We are so delighted to have launched the club. We had a huge interest in the pre-registration which showed us this was the right run club and level to offer our members and community. Having over 1,000 members join so quickly is mind-blowing and we were off on the right foot from the go! Our in-house experts have all been carefully chosen and reflect our ethos and positive can-do attitude, we are all here for each other and the support will continue across channels for all our members".
Robin Sykes, Marketing Manager ASICS (UK & Ireland) said: "ASICS is a firm believer in the power that movement has on the mind and body, and we’re incredibly pleased to be announcing the launch of RMR CRC in association with ASICS. This dedicated online running club will allow Run Mummy Run to support more women through the Community Run Club and encourage a larger proportion of women to enjoy the benefits that running can have on the mind. To show our ongoing commitment to the club and community, we have launched the first-ever ASICS running club vest in collaboration with RMR CRC."
