Run Loch Lomond

10K Back on the Bonnie Banks

Make a date with Loch Lomond this June...

Scotland's not short on scenic races, but one event that is definitely well up there on the 'most beautiful' lists has to be Run Loch Lomond. Back in 2024, the event is all set for a 15 June date and will once again consist of 10K and 5K distances as well as a children's fun run.

The 10K starts at 10am and the 5K follows shortly afterwards at 10.20am which enables all runners to finish together. Organisers say: "Run Loch Lomond is a fun, feel-good event that attracts all ability levels, from elite to fun runners. The long established children’s fun run also provides the opportunity for our youngest of runners to get involved."

The route for both distances are two of the most scenic races of the year, offering stunning views of Loch Lomond, Balloch Castle Country Park and the River Leven. In addition, the 5K and most of the 10K route does not use roadside pavements, making it far more enjoyable and almost exhaust fume free.

Feedback in previous years has been really positive with participants enthusing: “Volunteers were great, what a brilliantly organised event.” “Another great day at Loch Lomond 10K – looking forward to next year.” “First timer with two friends at this event and we had a fantastic experience. So well organised, great atmosphere and marshals and volunteers were all amazing.”

Organisers say: "We pride ourselves in delivering an extremely high quality event and hope to raise significant funds for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland."

Those taking part can expect a Run Loch Lomond t-shirt, bespoke medal, snacks, water, various discount vouchers and generous prize categories.
