Running In The Dark

Running Into Darkness

Take up the Run In The Dark challenge this November...

As darkness sweeps around the globe on 17 November, 25,000 people in 50 cities worldwide will get up from their armchairs, slip on their red flashing armbands and pull on their running shoes to complete a 5K or 10K run for Run In The Dark.

For the second year the run will be hosted virtually with participants choosing their own 5K or 10k route and downloading the Run in the Dark mobile app to time their run and earn a place on the global leaderboard.

Running separately while connecting socially across seven continents, this global movement will light up the night as people hit the road to Run in the Dark for the Mark Pollock Trust and donate or fundraise for charity partner Collaborative Cures to help cure paralysis.

Run In The Dark was founded 11 years ago after the blind adventure athlete, Mark Pollock, suffered a paralysing fall. Speaking about his fundraising event he said: “Millions of paralysed people worldwide don’t have the option to walk or to run or even to stand up but you can help change that on 17 November.

“All your additional donations and fundraising will support our new charity partner Collaborative Cures to bring people together to cure paralysis in our lifetime.”

If you’d like to be a part of the dark running crew then entries close on Friday 5 November. More details can be found at the event website.
