Run For Wildlife Autumn 5K

Will You Run Wild?

There's still time to run with the animals at Doncaster's Wildlife 5K...

Fancy running wild this autumn? South Yorkshire's original 5K safari is back on 8 October and there are still places available at this unique and family-friendly event.

Taking place at Yorkshire Wildlife Park (YWP), the Run For Wildlife Autumn 5K is in support of the YWP Foundation at the newly expanded animal park in Doncaster. Speaking about the route, organisers said: "This is the most 'safari' run we've ever done, taking in more animals than ever. It's also our fastest and flattest route so far! And did you know we won the best national 5K?"

Each of race organiser Curly's Athletes' Run for Wildlife events has a unique animal theme to help raise awareness, it also provides them with design ideas for medals and t-shirts. Autumn 2023's theme will be the red pandas. Three red pandas can be found at The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the three sisters were born in June 2019.

The real beauty of this event though, is that after the run you can enjoy the rest of the day at the venue (this is included in your entry to the race). So bring along your friends and family to support you and enjoy all that the park has to offer post race.

While YWP is caring for the animals and working on conservation projects at home, YWP Foundation is the away team. They work with partners in conservation and welfare around the world, who are doing a great job protecting and saving animals and improving welfare in zoos or in the wild. The Run for Wildlife events help directly support the YWPF.
