Take Flight At This Autumn 10K

Challenge yourself in the airfield that made history...

Take flight at this year's Duxford Dash 5K & 10K which is scheduled for 22 October at the Imperial War Museum Duxford - Europe's largest air museum; you will race past world-famous aircraft on the course, take in a century of aviation history with every kilometre and conquer the runway that first saw the Supermarine Spitfires fly as you cross the finish line.

Over the years the Duxford Dash has seen thousands of runners earn their finishers medal and join the ranks of Runway Racer. This flat and fast event takes place within the RAF base and is perfect for all abilities, including fun runners and beginners.

Organisers, Good Running Events, say: "Come ready in costume, ready to support a cause, ready to race your best time, ready to smash your fitness goal and ready for your shout outs!

"Whether you choose to go full throttle across the runway for a new personal best in the 10K race, take flight for fitness in the 5K, or run with families for fun our flat, chip-timed course is perfect for runners of all abilities."

It was at Duxford that pilots learned to fly the revolutionary biplanes of the First World War. But it was during the Second World War that Duxford made history. Bring friends or running groups to enjoy a Sunday morning challenge like no other that also includes a great day out in history as you can spend the day exploring IWM Duxford after the race.
