The RSPB Abernethy Forest 10 Mile Road Race is one of the signature events of the Abernethy Highland Games, taking place each summer in Nethy Bridge within the Cairngorms National Park. Sponsored by the RSPB, the race offers a unique opportunity to experience one of Scotland's most distinctive 10 mile road races while running through the ancient Abernethy Forest.
The 10 mile course begins with laps of the Highland Games arena before heading into the Abernethy Forest on a varied route that combines quiet roads, forest roads and well maintained trails. Returning via the Speyside Way, the race finishes back on the Games Field in front of spectators, creating a memorable conclusion to a unique Highland running experience.
