Charging ahead at the Gainsborough Morton 10K

Everyone good to go at the Gainsborough Morton 10K

The speedy course is a winner with all types of runner.

Chase down a late autumn PB at the Gainsborough Morton 10K on Sunday 20 November and bask in the glory at this attractive Lincolnshire road race. This race is a favourite with runners who are targeting a fast time and entries quickly sell out.

Organised by Tape2Tape Events, the Gainsborough Morton 10K is an environmentally-friendly, inclusive race open to runners of all standards and abilities. A closed road course which is both fast and flat is popular with top amateurs and club runners who have their sights set on the prizes for the top three men and women. In addition to these are prizes for age category winners (male and female), first U20 male and female and team prizes for the first UKA clubs.

There is a strong likelihood of a PB which is another reason for its popularity. Go off like a rocket from the start and continue to push the pace to the finish near Morton Village Hall.

Newcomers will be equally delighted by the course and there are plenty of marshals to encourage them every step of the way.

The route is flat and on wide roads (closed as well!) – making it suitable for wheelchair athletes and visually impaired athletes with a guide runner. The organisers are more than willing to discuss individual requirements and where best to position themselves in the field.

To sum up: a course to relish, bespoke medal for everyone, free photos and cake at this community spirited event which supports three different charities.

Demand is high for the 1,000 places available so enter sooner than later at the Tape2Tape Events website.
