The Potters 'Arf Marathon is organised by Stoke-on-Trent City Council and takes place in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. First held in its current Half Marathon format in 2005, the event also includes a Half Marathon Walk, Half Marathon Relay, Half Marathon Walk Relay and junior races, making it the county's largest running event.
The officially measured road course follows closed roads through the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent before returning to the city centre. The route is renowned for its undulating profile and the famous climb of Heartbreak Hill, rewarding runners with enthusiastic local support throughout and a memorable finish in the heart of the city.
The race is held under UKA Rules with professional chip timing, mile markers, marshals, water stations and pacers helping to deliver a well organised race day. All finishers receive a commemorative medal and goody bag, with the event's unique Potteries identity and strong community atmosphere making it one of the Midlands' best known Half Marathons.
