Perth Half Marathon Leads New Festival Launch
Inaugural Perth Running Festival set to debut with Half Marathon as centrepiece...
A new event is set to join the Scottish running calendar this summer as the Perth Running Festival prepares for its first ever staging.
Taking place on Sunday August 2, the festival will be based at the North Inch and introduces a brand new Half Marathon as its headline race.
The 13.1 mile distance sits firmly at the heart of the event, offering runners the chance to take on a fresh course in Perth as part of this debut edition. As the main feature of the festival, the Half Marathon is expected to attract the strongest interest from those looking for a new challenge or a different option on the Scottish calendar.
Alongside the headline race, the programme also includes a 7.5K and a 1 mile event, providing opportunities for runners of varying abilities to take part on the day. However, it is the Half Marathon that defines the festival, giving the event its identity and focus.
As a first time event, the Perth Running Festival represents a new addition to the city’s sporting offering, with organisers aiming to deliver a well structured and accessible race experience.
With entries open for its inaugural staging, the Perth Half Marathon offers runners the chance to be part of something new and to help shape what could become a regular fixture in the Scottish running calendar.
Entries are now available via runABC Scotland.
