Feel the spirit of the Glen(livet 10K) this autumn
October date for welcome return of scenic Highland fundraiser for CHSS
Entries have just opened for the event long billed as ‘the most beautiful run in Scotland’.
Usually held in April, this year's Glenlivet 10k, organised by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, will take place on Sunday, 31 October.
As in previous years, the 2021 edition of the race will be based at the Glenlivet Distillery, nestled in the stunning heart of the Glenlivet Crown Estate in the Caingorms National Park.
The incredibly scenic route follows quiet country roads alongside the River Livet, offering runners views of ancient castles and the picturesque landscape of this ‘secret glen’.
Runners of all abilities are welcome to take part and should expect the ‘superb hospitality and quality event organisation’ for which the event has become so well known.
Like many charities which rely on organising their own events or having supporters take part in those organised by others for a substantial part of their income, CHSS has been hit hard over the last 15 months. Unfortunately for CHSS, given the nature of the recent pandemic, their services have been needed more than ever.
Simply by taking part all those registered for the Glenlivet 10k will be helping to support those affected by chest, heart and stroke illness directly, as all proceeds from entry fees will go directly to CHSS.
Participants can also choose to further support the Scottish charity and those who rely on their services by seeking sponsorship for their runs, or by bringing along on race day any unwanted clothing and bric-a-brac for passing on to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s charity shops.
