November Challenge from Great North Run Solo

Give your late autumn training programme a boost with November Accumulator Challenge. 13 runs in 30 days with 40, 75 and 125 mile targets.

Sunday sees the start of a new month. And with it comes the Great North Run Solo – November Accumulator Challenge; a baker’s dozen of runs (13 or more) of any distance in the following 30 days.

You can run at any pace and distance comfortable for you.  If you complete 13 runs by 30 November, you will receive a 'mouthwateringly awesome' medal.

The icing on the cake is the optional distance challenge. Depending how far you run over your 13 (or more) runs, you will be awarded a bespoke digital finishers certificate to download and share:

Target distances are:

  • Flour power – 40 Miles
  • Piece of cake – 75 miles
  • The winner bakes all – 125 miles

The challenge starts on 1 November and costs £10 to join.  Your fee covers a unique finishers medal, training plans & tips, and access to an online run tracking tool.  You can join anytime until Monday 9 November at 10am, when entries close.

To sustain interest across November, organisers have added an extra ingredient – wacky challenges like 'run past a bakery or cake shop and snap a selfie' and 'bread & butter hill sprints'. So there's fun to be had alongside the training programme boost.

Find out more about the challenge, and the fun extras, and enter online at the Great Run website.
