The mainly flat route will take runners along canal towpaths and country trails, as well as a trip over the ‘Iron Giant’ that is the Bennerley Viaduct. The conditions underfoot vary from gravel tracks, canal paths and un-kept trails to smooth pavement. The section of the course over the viaduct will include a series of steep steps.
