Wild Deers In Callendar Park In 2026
Wild Deer Events new addition looks set to become a popular fixture on the Scottish trail running calendar...
Wild Deer Events continue to expand their Scottish calendar with the announcement of a brand new summer trail running event for 2026. The Falkirk Summer Trail Runs will take place on Saturday 18 July 2026 at Callendar House, marking the organiser’s first ever event in Falkirk.
Set within the impressive grounds of Callendar House and Park, the event offers runners the chance to race through historic parkland, woodland trails and open green space in one of central Scotland’s most scenic settings. Callendar House sits at the heart of Callendar Park and is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s finest historic estates, making it an ideal backdrop for a new trail running festival.
Runners will be able to choose from 5K, 10K or half marathon distances, with routes winding through the estate and surrounding parkland. The courses are designed to offer flowing trails and varied terrain, a style that has made Wild Deer Events’ Scottish trail races a favourite with many runners. The 5K is aimed at those new to trail running, the 10K provides a natural progression for runners looking to step up in distance, and the half marathon offers a rewarding summer challenge for more experienced competitors.
Callendar Park also makes the event appealing for families and spectators, with ample parking, parkland walks, a playpark and the opportunity to explore Callendar House itself, including exhibitions and the Georgian Kitchen. The tearoom and afternoon tea options add to the appeal for those spending the day at the venue.
All finishers at the Falkirk Summer Trail Runs will receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a post race snack and drink.
