Spring Time 10K For Chesterfield

Chesterfield 10K returns with a new spring date...

It's a new spring date for the Chesterfield 10K with news that this year's edition will take place on 24 March. The event has taken place twice before in 2021 and 2022 - both with October dates.

The race replaced the town's Half Marathon in the hope that a ‘more accessible’ distance would increase runner participation. Organisers say: "we have certainly seen participation numbers go up which has, in turn, increased charity partner revenue while supporting the health and wellbeing of local people.

"Our fantastic event has helped to raise thousands of pounds for local charities and good causes, and we can't wait to see you all on the start line in 2024."

The race takes runners around the centre of the beautiful market town of Chesterfield. This 10K event is accessible to all, with a fast, picturesque route, fantastic community involvement and unbeatable local support.

The route starts and finishes in Queens Park and will take in major landmarks such as the town’s famous crooked spire. It will also feature service and cheer stations on the course and will have a later 10am start.

There is also a 1K Fun Run which takes place within the grounds of Queens Park and is open to all to take part, even the dog!
