Jingle Through The Cotswolds
Festive fun guaranteed at inaugural Tinkley Gate Santa Dash...
Stroud & District Athletic Club is teaming up with local charity Allsorts to host the very first Allsorts Tinkley Gate Santa Dash on 7 December - a brand new festive event set to bring Christmas cheer to the scenic trails of the National Trust’s Tinkley Gate.
The family-friendly 5K off-road run invites participants to lace up their running shoes, don their red suits and take part in what organisers hope will become a new Stroud tradition. Participants of all abilities are encouraged to join in, whether running, jogging or walking the route. There is even a 2.5K option for younger runners or those who prefer a shorter distance, and festive dogs on leads are welcome to join the fun too.
Funds raised from the event will go to Allsorts, a Stroud-based charity that supports children and young people with additional needs and their families. The charity provides inclusive activities, support networks and opportunities to help families feel connected and empowered within their communities.
The festive atmosphere will be in full swing from start to finish, with live carol singers welcoming participants at the start line and serenading them as they cross the finish. Afterwards, runners and supporters can warm up at the on-site café, where post-run refreshments will be available.
Every finisher will receive a large 'Made in Stroud' medal as a memento of the day. Organisers hope their new Santa Dash event will capture the joy of festive running while raising funds and awareness for an important local cause.
