Jingle Bee Jog

New ring for festive run

There will be a slightly different jingle to Sports Tours International’s festive run this year with the event renamed as The Jingle Bee Jog. As ever, the 4k will celebrate everything that is festive with fancy dress highly encouraged – what’s more, it has been confirmed real-life reindeers will be at the event from 9–11am.

Organised for Sunday 24 November, The Jingle Bee Jog invites participants to walk, stroll or jog this 4k route, which starts and finishes in the spectacular MediaCityUK Piazza, Salford Quays.

Starting just outside of the BBC offices, Santas, elves and other festive characters will run past the Lowry Plaza at The Lowry Outlet Mall, over the bridge, past the Imperial War Museum and over the Manchester Ship Canal via the bridge before finishing in wonderful Christmas-themed MediaCityUK.

The name change for 2019 is in keeping with Sports Tours commitment to raising money for their charity, the Running Bee Foundation. The charity aims to improve the health and well being of local residents and to help tackle the challenge of childhood obesity.

Reflecting the fun spirit of the day, no times will be taken at the event. Registration is priced at just £16 for adults, £11 for children. Santa suits are available for an additional cost.

Further information, including registration, is available here.
