Into the Woods 10K

New Trail Race For Shropshire

Into the woods we go, to lose our minds and follow our soles...

A brand new 10K trail race is heading to South Shropshire this summer (11 August) thanks to Runningmonk Trail Events. The Into The Woods 10K will offer runners a beautiful woodland route and a fast, fun downhill finish.

Runners will set off from Clun Memorial Hall and head up into beautiful thick forestry, where they will weave around the stunning single track trails and pathways. Organisers say: "Follow your feet along the tree trails that merge from conninfer to oak, and immerse yourself in nature."

The route comes in at just over 700ft of elevation, will be fully marked and marshalled and will have no cut off time, meaning everyone is able to run at their own pace, and create their own adventure. Organisers continue: "With only two stiles, this event is dog friendly, but they must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. All dogs get their very own finisher's medal too and lots of fuss as they cross the line."

All those taking part will receive a finisher's medal. There will also be random spot prizes and lots of encouragement and friendly faces along the way.

Runningmonk Trail Events is based in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire and was founded out of a love for trail and long distance running, and a desire to showcase the beautiful local countryside and trails. They say: "We have a true passion for running here at Runningmonk Trail Events, and want to make our events as inclusive and open as possible. We care about all of our runners and believe that running is for everyone."
