Hot on the heels of our announcement in runABC South last week about a brand new mass participation half marathon in south London – click here for details – we can now reveal the launch of the Saucony Run Shoreditch Half on Sunday 20th September 2026. 

Saucony Run Shoreditch Half is an expansion of the previously established and successful Saucony London 10K, the next edition of which is due on 12th July 2026 – click here for details.

Motiv Sports is behind this new event. runABC readers will know them from the Oxford Half Marathon, Saucony Run Shoreditch 10K and Hackney Moves Half Marathon. The new Shoreditch Half will involve cheer zones, live music, on-route pacers and a whole lot of East London energy.

The first tranche of reduced price entries were snapped up in a flash, but you can still save £5 by grabbing one of the Second Release before the Final Release launches – click here to enter.

The exact course is still being finalised, but it will include a start and finish in Shoreditch Park and involve approximately 10,000 runners hotfooting it through the streets of Hackney and Islington. The entire route will be traffic-free.

Every runner will receive a finisher's medal, a commemorative t-shirt, and chipped time results. Of course, there will also be the famed East London crowd support guaranteed!
