Excitement building ahead of new-look Preston race

Momentum Builds Ahead Of New Look Preston 10K

The City of Preston 10K returns to the north of England calendar this September with leading event organisers Sports Tours International taking control of the race. As they push forward in preparation for the race, Sports Tours has confirmed JD Gyms Preston as the title sponsor of the 10k.

Formerly the Run Preston 10K, the race, scheduled for Sunday 30 September, will now be known as the City of Preston 10K. Interest is growing in the reintroduced event under the direction of Sports Tours International, who are behind the popular UKFast We Love Manchester 10K, UKFast City of Salford 10K and Alder Hey Children’s Charity 10K.

Kevin Harmer, UK Events & Sponsorship Manager for Sports Tours International, expanded on the decision to add the race to an expanding race portfolio: “With our experience in delivering a number of mass participation running events across the North West, we learnt of the need for a new delivery partner to come in and take control of the event.”

Kevin continued: “After meeting with Preston City Council, the potential of the event was obvious We are really excited to be the new owners of the race and are pleased to announce JD Gyms Preston as the official title sponsor for 2018.”

Entry for the JD Gyms City of Preston 10K is now open, registration is priced at just £17 (£15 affiliated).
