Mel's Union Street Mile is a one mile road race held on Aberdeen's iconic Union Street as the finale of the annual Safari Series. The closed road course welcomes runners of all ages, with separate races for primary school children, secondary school pupils and adults in the heart of the city.
Organised by the Gathimba Edwards Foundation in association with Celebrate Aberdeen and supported by Salus Technical, the event raises funds for charitable projects while encouraging community participation through competitive and family friendly racing.
Mel's Union Street Mile offers runners the opportunity to race on one of Aberdeen's most recognisable streets, combining a fast city centre course with a welcoming atmosphere and support for an important charitable cause.
