Virtual Love Run 5K Medal

Show some Valentine’s Day love in this virtual run

Running lovers will be rewarded with a spinning heart medal

Entries have opened for the Virtual Love Run 5K on Valentine’s Day (14 February) organised by BTR Liverpool. Participants run this distance or more on a course of their own choosing and earn a lovely bespoke medal.

Valentine’s Day is six weeks away but time passes quickly and before we know it, this festival of romance will be upon us. This year it falls on a Sunday and the organisers invite people to mark the day by running 5k and leave a message for a beloved on their Valentine’s Day wall.

Runners can go further than 5k – this is a minimum requirement – and on their own or with their partner but continue to follow the guidelines regarding social distancing. Photos and/or selfies are welcome and can be uploaded to the BTR Liverpool Facebook page. Medals will be posted the week before 14 February.

f you don't fancy a run on 14 February then why not send this superb Valentine's Day medal to someone who does! Discretion is assured (we will send it out for you) and it will make a change from sending a card...

The organisers would like to have hosted this as a live race but the ongoing situation with Covid-19 and the imposition of stricter measures meant this was a non-starter. Whilst the news about the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is a positive sign, the restrictions remain in place for now. This virtual run provides a focus and a different yet enjoyable way to celebrate the day while we wait for things to improve.
