One Lap. One Hour. One Winner!
This epic challenge is a battle of resilience, stamina and strategy...
Runners are being called to the wilds of Wyre Forest on 6 September for a unique test of physical and mental endurance. Lone Wolf Birmingham promises to be more than just a race - it’s a battle of resilience, stamina and strategy that unfolds hour by hour until only one runner remains.
Taking place at Callow Hill, near Bewdley, this epic challenge invites participants to take on a 7.1K loop through the undulating forest trails of one of England’s most scenic woodland areas. Every hour, on the hour, runners must complete the loop to stay in the game.
With a full 60 minutes allowed per lap, the choice is yours: push hard and earn time to rest, or pace yourself and conserve energy for the long haul. The loop is repeated every hour for 24 hours, culminating in a final race to the finish on the last lap to determine the Lone Wolf Champion.
Organisers say: "Our event is open to all, from first-time trail runners to seasoned ultramarathon athletes, and encourages a social, supportive atmosphere where participants spur each other on. But make no mistake: Lone Wolf is a true endurance challenge. Completing a few laps is one thing, but staying in the race deep into the night is a different level of physical and mental test."
The event also offers flexibility for those wanting to take part without committing to the full 24-hour challenge. Options include a 10K, half marathon, full marathon or ultra marathon distance - making the event accessible to a wide spectrum of runners.
