Runners in the Colshaw 10K Road Race

Sign up sooner rather than later for Colshaw 10K

Covid-secure measures mean organisers are confident June date will go ahead

It’s all looking good for Colshaw 10K on Sunday 20 June with a scenic course through leafy Cheshire lanes and views of the famous Lovell telescope at Jodrell Bank. There are a reduced number of places however, due to Covid-19 safety measures and deferrals from last year’s race making it a matter of urgency for any runner keen to take part.

The race is organised by Run Cheshire who have provided a taster in the form of a video showing highlights of the route on their Facebook page. This is the Cheshire countryside at its best and an attractive backdrop for a popular road race that starts and finishes at the Grade II listed Colshaw Hall Country Estate.

Lucky runners can expect a mildly undulating, closed road course, drink station at 5k and state of the art chip timing. There are prizes for the top three men and women and an equine-themed medal for every finisher along with a goody bag.

Run Cheshire have planned this as a Covid-secure race which means two start waves – one at 10am and the second at 10.15am based on predicted finishing times. This is dependent upon the ongoing situation including the easing of restrictions and they will update runners if they can return to a mass start as part of a traditional race set up.

Enter the Colshaw 10K at the Run Cheshire website. Note: entries for the Kids Fun Run have been suspended for the time being.
