Last chance for Yorkshire 10 miler
Entries for the Asda Foundation Yorkshire 10 Mile will close soon with places for the race predicted to sell out in the coming days. The younger sister to the marathon event, the 10 miler has been a massive hit since becoming part of the Yorkshire event in 2015.
Taking place on Sunday 20 October, the race begins in the heart of York and passes various historic landmarks including the stunning York Minster and the impressive medieval City Walls.
The race will also travel out into the Yorkshire countryside where runners will be treated to scenic surroundings as they run down quaint country roads. In addition to its course, the 10 mile distance is seen as an attractive proposition for those training for half or full marathon events.
Tristan Batley-Kyle, Head of Events at Run For All, said: “The Yorkshire 10 Mile has quickly grown into a very popular event. It is excellent that so many people turn out and it is incredible to see how much interest has been shown through the amount of entries we are currently receiving.
Tristan continued: “For anyone considering this event we would advise to secure their spot sooner rather than later due to the prediction that it will be a sell-out event.”
Registration for the event is priced at £35, £33 for UK Athletics members. Entry is available here.
