Kirkcaldy Parks Trail Races form the Saturday programme of the Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival, with 5K and 10K distances starting and finishing within Dunnikier Park.
Both races head from the park into the gently undulating surrounding woodland and onto tracks around the outside of the golf course. Underfoot conditions are varied, with a mixture of grass, tarmac, gravel, soft trail and field edge paths. The 5K completes one loop, while the 10K covers two laps of approximately 5K.
The races are organised by Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, with an emphasis on encouraging runners to explore and enjoy Kirkcaldy's parks. Both events are held under UK Athletics rules with a Scottish Athletics permit.
The festival supports Maggie's Fife as its official charity partner.
