The Kinloss Running Festival returns to Kinloss Barracks Training Area on the Moray coast for the second day of its two day running festival, featuring a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1K Fun Run. Held within the former RAF airfield, the races use runways, taxiways and perimeter roads to create a distinctive road running experience in a setting rarely open to the public.
The Half Marathon follows an officially measured 13.1 mile out and back course, while the 10K and 5K use fast looped routes on tarmac and concrete, all with less than 20 metres of elevation. The festival begins on Saturday with a Back Yard Ultra, before Sunday's programme brings together road races for runners of all ages and abilities.
Flat, accurately measured courses and the unique airfield setting make the Kinloss Running Festival unlike a conventional road race. Whether aiming for a Half Marathon, 10K or 5K personal best, or taking on the 1K Fun Run, runners can enjoy a memorable day of racing on one of Scotland's most unusual road running venues.
