The countdown is on for one of the most exciting family events in the South as the AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great Bristol Run returns in just one month (9th May).

Taking place in the heart of the city, this much loved event gives young runners the chance to take centre stage ahead of the main Great Bristol Run weekend, creating a real sense of occasion for children and families alike.

Young participants can choose their challenge, with Minis taking on a fun filled 1.5K run and Juniors stepping up to a 2.5K distance. With plenty of encouragement along the route and a lively atmosphere throughout, the focus is on building confidence, enjoying the experience and creating lasting memories.

Adding to the excitement this year, stars from the hit TV show Gladiators will be on hand as official starters, bringing extra energy to the start line and helping to send runners on their way in style.

The event returns to College Green, with a city centre start and finish that creates a fantastic hub for families. With the senior 10K and half marathon events already sold out, the Junior and Mini races form part of a huge weekend of running across Bristol.
