Third JS ‘Zoom blether’ to address 'Men's Mental Health and Wellbeing'
jogcotland and SAMH keep the conversation about mental health and wellbeing going at home
jogscotland will be hosting the third in its series of virtual coffee breaks at 6pm tonight (Tuesday, 9 June).
The topic of the ‘Zoom blether’ – ‘Men’s Mental Health and Wellbeing’ – is important for everyone in these challenging and uncertain times, not just half the population.
The host of the session will be Colin Hutchison from jogscotland and scottishathletics, with special guest Robert Nesbitt from SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) providing his own insights.
Everyone is welcome to join in the chat, ask questions, share their experiences or just listen – there is no obligation to talk.
For details on how to join in the conversation tonight, please email Laura Kirkland from scottishathletics before 5pm.
If you'd like to learn more about mental health and wellbeing, but can’t join in the Zoom call, SAMH has many useful resources on its website, including links to up-to-date information and various helplines.
jogscotland kicked off its series of coffee mornings in late May, with a Q&A with marathoner and mountain runner Robbie Simpson of Deeside Runners.
The Zoom session with the Commonwealth Games medallist was followed by a conversation focused on maternal mental health and physical activity, with special guest Jess Parson, jog leader of Mums on the Run, Inverurie.
