|Half Marathon + other events: 10K
|The Town Hall
|Borders, Dumfries & Galloway
The half marathon route is basically an out-and-back. Starting on the A68 opposite the Abbey, the route goes north along the A68, turns right up past Woodend and the back of Riverside, then east along the A698 towards Kelso. At around 4 miles, there is a small detour off the main road past Crailing church; the route then continues east along the A698 towards Kelso. At around 6 miles, the route turns right towards Eckford then loops back towards the A698 to start the return journey. Runners will travel west along the A698 towards Bonjedward then south along the A68 towards Jedburgh, to finish on the grass by the river opposite Queen Mary's house.
The 10K route is also an out-and-back. Again starting opposite the Abbey, the route follows the half marathon but there is a 180 degree turnaround at the 5K point.
