Duxford Dash gives runners the unusual opportunity to race at IWM Duxford, the historic Cambridgeshire airfield where aviation history was made. The event includes 10K and 5K races alongside a 1 Mile Family Dash, with the airfield providing a distinctive setting away from conventional road racing.
Runners in the 5K and 10K take on a fast, flat course across the airfield, including stretches of Duxford’s runway. The traffic free setting and largely level terrain make the event well suited to runners chasing a quick time, while the surroundings of the historic aviation site provide plenty of interest along the way. Both distances are chip timed, with a fixed cut off allowing the airfield to reopen afterwards.
The shorter 1 Mile Family Dash gives children and accompanying adults the chance to take part in the event too. Race entry also includes admission to IWM Duxford, allowing participants to explore the museum and its aircraft collections after finishing their run and make a full day of their visit.
