Hell on the Fell is the second event in The Tour, the four day running festival that showcases the diverse terrain of Tameside, Oldham and Glossop. Following the opening X-Trail 10K, runners face a demanding fell running challenge before moving on to the Hero Half Marathon and Dr Ron Hill Hyde 7.
Starting in Stalybridge, the 6 mile route climbs steadily onto Hobson Moor, taking runners to the trig point high above the town. The challenging ascent is rewarded with expansive views across the surrounding countryside, while the varied terrain and elevation provide a true test of strength and endurance.
As one of the toughest stages of The Tour, Hell on the Fell combines classic fell running, spectacular scenery and a supportive atmosphere, making it a memorable highlight of the four day festival.
