The Potters 'Arf Marathon is a challenging Half Marathon through Stoke on Trent and one of Staffordshire's best known running events.
First held in its current Half Marathon format in 2005, the officially measured road course starts and finishes in the city centre. Runners tackle an undulating route through Stoke on Trent, with the famous Heartbreak Hill providing the defining challenge before the return towards a lively city centre finish.
The event also includes a Half Marathon Walk, running and walking relays and a Fun Run, creating a full programme for runners and families. The Half Marathon is chip timed, with mile markers, marshals and extensive race day support. Finishers receive a distinctive Potters 'Arf medal, while enthusiastic local support has become one of the defining features of the event.
