Great Run's Festive Challenge Returns
The weather outside may be frightful in December, but the #GreatRunSolo challenge is nothing short of delightful...
Be-ho-ho-hold, event organiser, Great Run, has just announced the return of the #GreatRunSolo Christmas Accumulator Challenge to keep you festively fuelled this December.
The challenge is to complete 12 (or more) runs of any distance and pace between 1–25 December and by doing so you will be rewarded with a tree-mendous finisher’s medal to wear with pride. This isn't just any old medal though, attached to the middle is a unique Christmas tree decoration which you can hang on your festive branches this year and those to come.
But wait, there’s myrrh (ed - groan)! To keep you from going crackers the challenge also includes festive activities to complete as you go, as well as an optional distance challenge. Depending on how far you can run during the time period, you will be rewarded with a bespoke certificate to download and share. The distances for this challenge are as follows:
- Run Run Rudolph – 30 miles
- Holy Night! – 60 miles
- There’s Snow Stopping You – 100 miles
Christmas is all about the kids and so don't worry they haven't been forgotten! There is a separate virtual challenge for budding running stars aged 14 years and under. The Junior Christmas Accumulator challenges youngsters to complete eight runs after which they be rewarded with a showstopping medal and certificate.
