Whether you’re taking on your first 10K or conquering your 50th half marathon, the UK’s biggest and best run series has a start line (and medal!) for you.

There are some cracking events to look forward to in the north of England, starting with the Great Manchester Run on Sunday 18 May, with coverage live on the BBC. There were record numbers on the start line last year so it promises to be another fantastic event on the streets of Manchester.

The action then moves to the North East, kicking off with the Great North 10K on Sunday 6 July. Get ready to see a side of Newcastle you’ve never seen before with an iconic start line, unbeatable city views, and the ultimate finish line feeling.

All eyes then turn to the iconic Great North Run weekend, with the Great North 5K raising the curtain on the UK’s biggest festival of running on Friday 5 September, followed by the biggest ever Junior & Mini Great North Run on Saturday. Then of course it’s the main event on Sunday 7 September, for which the January ballot is now open!

Starting and finishing in the heart of the city, soak up the incredible atmosphere on-course, experience your finish line moment and bask in the glory of your achievement in the Apres Run zone. It’s an inclusive celebration of running, with music blazing, crowds buzzing, legs pumping and fists bumping.

Whether you do it for fitness, for fun, to fundraise, or to find your limit, take your place on the start line and be part of something special with Great Run in 2025.
